Its time for the Asian Appetizer, which is a little bit of everything delicious. Spicy sriracha, sweet sugar, juicy chicken,tangy lime, crunchy chestnuts,mushrooms and more... completely yum!!

Chicken Lettuce Wrap  

 

Ingredients
Quantity
Sesame oil
Ground chicken
Onion, chopped
Garlic, minced or pressed
Soy sauce
Hoisin sauce
Fresh ginger, minced
Vinegar
Sriracha sauce
Fresh button mushrooms finely chopped
Water chestnuts, drained and finely chopped
 Green onions, sliced
Vegetable  oil
Salt
Iceberg, Bibb or butter lettuce leaves, rinsed and drained
    1 tablespoon
    1 pound/half kg
    1 large
    2 tablespoons
   1 tablespoon
   1 tablespoon
   2 teaspoons
   1 tablespoon
   3 teaspoons
   ½ cup
   1 can (8 ounces)/Fresh
   1 small bunch
   2 teaspoon
   T o taste
   20 to 25 leaves

FOR MAGIC SAUCE
Sugar
Soy sauce
Vinegar
Ketchup


1 Tablespoon
2 Tablespoon
2 Tablespoon
2Tablespoon
Lemon juice
2 Tablespoon
Sesame seeds
2 Teaspoon
Garlic clove
2
Red chilly powder
1 Teaspoon
Water
2 Tablespoon


 

Instructions

For Magic sauce

  • ·         Mix all the ingredients and blend them.

For Chicken Mixture

  • ·         In a skillet on medium heat, warm 1 tablespoon sesame oil.

  • ·          Add the ground chicken and cook until it is cooked through. Add 1 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon pepper and mix well,with a spatula, break it up into small chunks as it cooks will turn little golden brown, remove from heat.

  • ·        In a Pan add oil and stir in the onion, garlic, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, ginger, vinegar, and sriracha sauce until mixed properly.

  • ·         Add water chestnuts, green onion, mushrooms.

  • ·         Add salt to taste.

  • ·         Serve on a bed of a lettuce leaf and top with our magic sauce, or make a wrap out of 2 to 3 leaves and serve with our magic sauce

  • ·         Serves 4
