Are you really Hungry or simply bored?

Hello friends get a little time off from that small binge and ask yourself, are you hungry? Is this your meal time? Did you just have your meal an hour ago?
Did you know we don’t always eat simply to satisfy hunger yes!! That’s correct guys
There are many reason we turn to food I have seen people eating for simply comfort, some people have stress induced eating just for that relief feeling, or some eat as a reward to themselves haha isn’t this one a little often :P

Well the conclusion is that this binging/emotional eating doesn’t fix the problems. It usually makes us feel worse. And then guess what, not only does the original emotional issue remain, but you also feel guilty for overeating. Omg!! so many Carbs ohh and did you forget those calories from the yummy fats.
Let’s forget the yesterdays binge and start from today
1. Recognize your emotional eating trigger.
2. Break free from food cravings and compulsive overeating.
3. Change the habits that have sabotaged your diets in the past.

Here are some tips to manage it

Before you eat, drink a glass of water, wait 10 minutes, and see if you can get past the urge to eat.

Don't eat in front of the TV or while working on something.

Eat every few hours instead of letting a snack attack drive you to the kitchen or canteen.
My way to tackle it at home is that i always have healthy snacks stacked into my kitchen to avoid the reason to unlimited binge
Always have a green tea jar or water infused with your favorite fruit on your table, this way your water consumption won’t be neglected and at the same time you can get away from that binge.
Plan healthy snacks for those times when you are vulnerable to eating, especially late afternoon and after dinner.
My favorite is lightly roasted mixture of fennel seed, sunflower seeds, flaxseeds, carom seeds(ajwain) seasoned with Himalayan salt and little sugar (optional) sometime I also add some crushed dry mint leaves to give some additional freshness to this mixture, pour it in airtight glass jar and keep it handy

Find alternative behaviors to eating: call a friend, watch a movie, walk the dog, listen to music, basically do what interests you, when it comes to me, I grab my canvas and colors and paint.
Simple thing, if you can distract yourself, the urge to eat will pass.

Takecare!
